When we talk and think about French interior design, many things come to mind: chandeliers, crown mouldings, chevrons floors and juliet balconies. This apartment, owned by a couple who have longed to lived in Paris for the past 30 years, has it all—in the classical sense, thanks to the designer Jean-Louis Deniot, who was not only responsible for the renovation and decoration, but also to find the apartment that the couple dreamed of.
This 2,300-square-foot Left Bank apartment, graced with 15-foot-high ceilings and nothing less that 21 windows (one of most important requirements), is located in an 18th-century building at the heart of the fashionable Faubourg Saint-Germain. After the renovation, the apartment`s size was reduced to 1,600-square-feet, due to the removal of the mezzanines.
To modernise the French design, a palette of greys, taupes and smoky blues was used. All the rest, is very French!
