Fashion Editorial: Maryna Linchuk by Vincent Peters for Harper’s Bazaar UK September 2015

1MOODY AND DRAMATIC is the mood for evening-wear according to Harper’s Bazaar — matching perfectly the plunging cliffside, teal blue saves, and a sky so overcome by clouds the sun rarely glimpses through. There are black silk georgette gowns with ingénue chiffon collars, sculptural silk dresses, and monochrome hues in such intricate textures, one forgets about colour entirely. It is a more mysterious look for the evening, one that says “I am the woman everyone aspires to be, but no one can be.” —Victoria246357981011Images via Visual Optimism.

Victoria lives in the south of Spain, having moved there from her native country Ukraine when she was just a child. She finds herself looking up to timeless icons from past decades including Jackie O, Grace Kelly, Katherine Deneuve and Audrey Hepburn, and longing for sunny afternoons on the French Riviera and walks along the Seine during spring. Always overdressed and dishing out on tailored pieces and shoes – secretly dreaming they were from Dior or Saint Laurent – she dresses for herself rather than others, and would trade breakfast for Vogue or a one way ticket to anywhere beautiful.
