NEW YORK FASHION WEEK has been marked with cold, icy temperatures, and while the collections were impossibly beautiful to watch — whether on style.com or streamed live from the runway — street style has been a greatly anticipated element of NYFW. It is almost as if, with the gelid climate, one wished to see just how editors, models and bloggers managed to pull together the same creative attires we are accustomed to seeing on the streets of the big apple . . .
. . . as always, we find ourselves delightfully surprised by the ensembles worn, for there were capes, pastel-coloured coats worn over perfectly tailored blazers, shearling jackets paired with leather skirts and over the knee boots, and more houndstooth after the Tommy Hilfiger show than one could ever dream of.
