. . . last week’s very quick trip to nyc was filled with lunch dates and shows, events and soirées, and with a million photographs and so much to tell you, perhaps best to break things up into a few posts so as not to overwhelm . . . first stop was very early last monday morning: mimosas to celebrate the opening of the new flagship tory burch boutique on 797 madison avenue . . .
. . . and there were beautiful brass staircases against rich hardwood floors, floral wallpaper and patterned carpets . . .
. . . and after many emails, skype chats, and nearly a year of her writing for {this is glamorous}, it was wonderful to finally meet laily, in person, and on snow leopard patterned floor coverings . . .
{p.s.} so much more after the jump xo
. . . the store was an absolute pleasure to browse through — five floors of rich colours & textures, gold and mirrors, with no detail left to chance, and every room feeling like a jewel box . . .

above: textures & patterns in a dressing room — silk cushions on a velvet bench, grass cloth walls trimmed in gold, and madeleine castaing floor coverings . . .
above: made of ultra-soft suede, the 797 satchel [a favourite] was designed in celebration of the new manhattan boutique
. . . afterward, we [laily & i] stopped by the new ladurée at 864 madison avenue for a few delightfully delectable macarons, and then it was a café down the street, for an early lunch and a latte, and ran into pierce brosnan, who also happened to be stopping in — quite a perfect way to begin the day . . .
