{white sands – new mexico}

Positively mesmerized by the serene, sculptural quality of the White Sands – New Mexico series by Chris Nicholls . . .

The images, infused with a nostalgic feel and quiet elegance, remind me very much of Henry Clarke‘s beautiful, beautiful work.

  • Those images are just gorgeous!! They look great in black and white because they have nice contrast.

  • What great photos: incredible composition, colours, contrasts everything is fine!

  • Anonymous–unfortunately the images came directly from the photographer’s official site, which does not credit the designer of the dresses, and as long as this is the direct source, that is the only credit is available and required.

    The publication {if any} was not listed on the photographer’s site, although if this series were published, the publication would most likely have listed the designer.

    Perhaps someone has seen these images elsewhere and knows who the designer is?

    Do you know if the designer was credited?
    Lovely work.

  • I grew up not too far from White Sands. I love these photos!

  • wow. yowza. I adore b & w photography. but let’s talk about those fabulous white dresses. the top one is gorgeous.

    this bottom image is haunting. beautiful work.

  • Wonderful images….

  • Christine–while I would most likely never wear my hair this way, I think it is an integral part of the work, adding an haute couture element and elevating what might have been just another fashion shoot to a modern, edgy, beautiful work of art . . .

  • I love the dresses and the landscape (especially the 1st two photos) BUT the hair! :-o

    I think a Audrey Hepburn look would have went alot further!
