Walking in the sunset light the other day I suddenly realised how quiet and empty my busy neighbourhood has become. Like every year, most Parisians are leaving for their Summer Holidays and quite a melancholic ambiance has fallen over the city.
Needless to say, lots of those instagrammable restaurants that you may have on your list for your upcoming trip are going to be closed for the next month. Maybe the quietness won’t bother you, but not finding a place to have lunch can be quite tricky in such big city.

Such a unique place with a breathtaking décor, right in the heart of Gare de Lyon, an important point de depart in Paris.
The most chic bistro in Paris, close to Le Marais neighborhood and also a few minutes away from Notre-Dame. A cosy and intimate ambiance with mottled mirrors, painted ceilings and candlelit atmosphere, all accompanied by Helmi Derbal’s delicious French Menu.

Olivier Bon chose to open a new restaurant in collaboration with Assaf Granit and Uri Navon, two of the most famous Israeli chefs. Head chef of Balagan is Dan Yosha, a young talent from Machne-Yehuda in Jerusalem.
The menu has the amazing culinary richness of the Middle East: a collection of playful Meze, Levantine Shish Barak, wood-grilled eggplant, sautéed calamari, grilled veal sweetbreads, Moroccan-Israeli artichoke ragout, festive Mansaf lamb, Jerusalem-style sea bass, couscous, and more.
