WE LITERALLY HAVE been in love with Ryan Korban‘s work for the past nine years, when we first saw Alexander Wang‘s NYC apartment featured in domino magazine. This week’s we’ve discovered new work that may just be his best yet. This stunning and tranquil1,800-square-foot New York duplex that the designer now calls home is featured in the current issue of Architectural Digest. Korban had just settled into another apartment when he saw a for rent sign outside a turn-of-the-century townhouse on the Upper East Side. The rest, as they say, is history. Needless to say, the designer fell in love with the space, that “felt like Europe”, believing it to be the most true to his taste. And having lived in nine different places in the past 14 years, that’s saying a lot. The crown mouldings and original black-and-white harlequin floors are just two of the beautiful features the space has to offer; add the designer’s signature shades of grey on the elegant wood-paneled walls, cosy striped Roman shades and other glamorous touches and the result an insane chicness on the level that Korban is known for…
