RECENTLY, P’S AUNT & UNCLE in Scotland celebrated their ruby wedding anniversary. Had to google what that meant (it means 40 years together!) and only yesterday, the Queen & Prince Phillip celebrated their platinum wedding anniversary, which means an astounding 70 years together. The BBC also found another couple who had been married just as long, and interviewed them on the 6:00 o’clock news, and it was the sweetest, most inspiring news segment ever, especially given the state of the news lately. He had said about his wife that she was his best friend and that he just loved everything about her, and she, in return had replied that yes, “We just could’t live without each other, could we?” P and I were watching together, and it made me rather excited at the prospect of celebrating our platinum anniversary in the many, many years to come, and just at the very thought of our growing old together. What could possibly be more romantic than that?
