SPRING IS A ROMANTIC time with its cherry and magnolia blossoms, streets lined with tall, age-old lilac trees and parks filled with the intoxicating scent of orange blossoms. At home, we throw open the windows and French doors, pack away the winter coats and heavy blankets and freshen things up with spring cleaning. Perhaps we change the colour palettes of our rooms, heavy wooden sideboards giving way to parchment-coloured ones with golden hardware and deep-coloured throw cushions are replaced with pale pink trellis and confetti cream.
