The work of Helen Green Design is synonymous with elegance and luxury so it’s no surprise that the studio was approached by London’s famed Berkeley Hotel to put its unique stamp on The Crescent Suite at the hotel. Comprising several interconnecting rooms and overlooking the Victorian St Paul’s Church Knightsbridge, it’s the perfect haven for visitors to London seeking sanctuary in the heart of the city.
The overall design style of the suite’s rooms has a distinctly ladylike feel with touches of 1930’s glamour. The palette is gentle and feminine with blonde wood, grey velvet, bronze, leather and pale pink lacquer melding together beautifully. Everywhere you look there are details to admire and appreciate; from the bespoke headboards to the delicately textured walls; and from the perfectly plump cushions in luxurious fabrics to the elegantly crafted furniture and lighting. Exquisite attention to detail is a hallmark of the studio’s work with each space a perfectly considered tableau.
London may be a vibrant noisy metropolis, but you get the sense that even with the windows thrown open to the gardens beyond, the serenity and elegant calm of this space would prevail . . . —Louise
