The history of the Venetian glass mirror dates back to the early 16th century, when mirrors were created with the sole function of assisting with illumination to brighten rooms. True Venetian glass mirrors are made in Venice, Italy, primarily on the island of Murano. While not all of the mirrors included here may be true Venetian glass (they may be direct reproductions or created in the style of such) they work well in any room in the home, and exceptionally so in the powder room, where they add endless glamour, especially when paired with marble and soft pastels . . .
