EMILY AVENSON is a Californian farmer-florist based in Belgium who runs Fleuropean, a small, organically run flower garden located in the Belgian countryside. Here, dahlias, roses, peonies, cosmos, poppies, aneomone, ranunculus, delphiniums, hydrangeas, clematis, traditional cottage flowers, herbs and wildflowers grow, and the bouquets are a little on the wilder side, often with herbs, grasses, fruits and flowers incorporated.
