EARLY LAST MONTH, we caught a glimpse into the home of photographer, Paul Costello and writer/editor, Sara Ruffin Costello, who moved from New York to New Orleans. Yesterday, T Magazine featured the home, which was restored with the help of the architect Michael Carbine and the original decorator,87-year-old New Orleans native Gerrie Bremermann.
“The place had really fallen to wreck and ruin,” says Sara, standing by the open fridge. “But it was a chic disaster,” Paul adds. “Part of the appeal of the house is that the people who lived here had such great style.”
