Style at Home : A Perfectly Pretty Dressing Room

AWAY ALL MORNING for an out-of-town meeting and did not have a chance to tell you earlier, about this wonderful walk-in closet inspiration in Vancouver. Designer Kari Player, of Kari Player Home, converted half of the fifth bedroom in her 100-year-old Victorian into her dream closet.

When the drop ceiling was removed, the designer uncovered a sloped roof [1]. The open shelving are not custom, but purchased from a shop, after much careful thought of needs, the type of clothing, and organisation [2]. Frosted film was used on the windows instead of curtains to let in the most natural light while still maintaining privacy [3].

An antique tray displays perfume and adds a little romance [4]. A mirrored vanity, a flea market crystal chandelier and glass wardrobe handles add sparkle and reflect light [5]. And finally, a soft Tibetan shag rug adds softness and completes this perfectly pretty dressing room . . .

Hi – can you let me know where you purchased the mirrored vanity? I’ve been searching for one for my bedroom.

    Thanks!

  • Such a dreamy closet! I’m such a proponent of open shelving, forces you to stay tidy whilst displaying your chic goods. x
