Continuing with the beautiful {style icon} series, this week, another Russian, and this time, street style darling, photographer, stylist, blogger, occasional model, and fashionista turned designer, Ulyana Sergeenko . . .
A collector of couture, in the summer of 2012 in Paris, the Russianista debuted her own couture collection, with the likes of Carine Roitfeld, Grace Coddington, and Anna Dello Russo in attendance, and Russian Supermodel Natalia Vodianova closing the show. Her second couture collection, an ode to Gone with the Wind and other American stories, showed this past winter.
While Ulyana shows much promise as a designer, her status as a style icon is cemented — rather eclectic and often described as a mix of haute peasant meets granny chic meets 1950s babushka, sometimes in clingy mohair sweaters, and most oftentimes in full, floor-grazing skirts, and a dash of red lipstick, she creates a stir everywhere she goes . . .
