New York Fashion Week was filled with power this year—from the striking, yet refined contrasts at Proenza Schouler, to the elegant structure at Del Pozo, and dazzling metallics at Marc Jacobs.
At the Milly show, we were floored by the glittering metallics, sparkle, and bright hologrammed leathers. Michelle Smith named this collection “illumination” and illuminate it did—the use photorealistic prints, dark charcoals and metallic blacks stood out.
Rubin and Chapelle put a minimalistic spin on the metallic trend, with lots of volume, draping fabrics with an ancient Grecian touch.
Maison de Urbana showed brave looks on the runway displaying a unique spin to traditional designs . . .
