. . . quite certain was born a maximalist, and from the rare porcelain doll collection at five, to the lace-trimmed and monogrammed linens at ten; and the crystal lamps and ginger jars, coffee table books and golden trinket boxes in the present day — maximalism, here, is alive and well — but if one were to ask for the maximalist’s version of minimalism, it would be the sitting room of this parisian apartment, with its crown moulding and gilded accents, perfectly paired with pared down and gracefully curved armchairs and sofas, and a fresh and restrained palette of black, white and grey with a touch of gold . . .
