OUR LIVING ROOM in the English countryside has those charming wood ceiling beams that you would expect in a cottage in the countryside. And since moving here, my décor tastes have moved, understandably, in the direction of farmhouse and countryside styles...
WE FIRST FEATURED the home of husband and wife design duo Dorothée Boissier and Patrick Gilles way back in November 2013, but have just stumble upon new-to-us (and more casual) photos of their newly renovated Paris apartment and couldn't resist revisiting this beautiful space once again.
Here’s some music trivia to end your week to. How many tracks could you name that were released in the 50s that have been reinvented in every decade since, by internationally-known artists from across the musical spectrum and to massive popular and critical acclaim?
The piano classes on the third floor of my building have started again, the terraces on my street are open again and the streets are filled again with everybody going back at work. And while I love Paris with its endless beauty and inspiration, this summer, I fell in love even more with the South of France, which showed me again that a peaceful and relaxed lifestyle changes the quality of life...
The Verride Palacio Santa Catarina describes itself as a renovated historic townhouse in the heart of Lisbon―an understatement, perhaps, for the 18th-century palacio turned boutique hotel. As it turns out, there's a very interesting story to the place...
Should one be so unlucky as to find oneself, as I did, lying awake in bed in the early hours of the morning in a hostel in La Paz, Bolivia, listening anxiously to the sound of someone trying to force their way into one’s room, one could do worse than to throw a chair under the doorknob as a first line of defence.
Located on the site of a former estate known as Red Maples, on four acres near the ocean in Southampton, New York sits the pink stucco country manor (named Hollyhock) belonging to New York commercial real-estate broker Mary Ann Tighe and her husband, Dr. David Hidalgo.
