Situated on the picturesque Lake Garda in Italy, the neo-Gothic villa was built in 1892 as a summer home for the famous Italian publisher Feltrinelli family. The historic luxury hotel, located at the foot of the Champs-Élysées, opened in 1909 in a building that dates back to 1758. The Crillon is one of two identical stone palaces on the Place de la Concorde and has been listed since 1900 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture. Today it is a grand space with 78 guest rooms and 46 suites, along with three restaurants, a bar, outdoor terrace, gym and health club.
Beaverbrook Hotel is a late-nineteenth-century mansion set in the Surrey Hills, the quintessential British Country Estate. Decorator Susie Atkinson was tasked with designing something essentially British and romantic, "current but not trendy, comfortable and completely individual" (House & Garden). It is something she achieved brilliantly with tufted velvet and (Bowood) florals, dusky pink walls, cane chairs and Louise Bourgeois gallery walls...
The other day while searching for a place to have tea, we stumbled upon a beautiful hotel situated a few steps away from the beautiful Opera de Paris, the Palais Garnier: l’InterContinental Paris le Grand. Also called l’hôtel des voyageurs, l’InterContinental Paris le Grand was originally built for the Exposition Universelle of 1867. The building has long welcomed intellectuals and travelers from around the world, which famously include Victor Hugo, Emile Zola and Oscar Wilde.

1898 The Post is a new luxury hotel by the Zannier Group, in the Belgian city of Ghent. Housed in what used to be a grand Post Office, the hotel has its own 54-metre clock tower. The Neo-Gothic building with its with statues and escutcheons, was constructed in 1898 by the architect Louis Cloquet.
