IT HAS BEEN rumoured that virtual properties in the metaverse are going for over $120,000. As insane as it might sound to purchase property that you can't actually inhabit, and as resistant as we are to an indoor make-belief life without sun, if it ever becomes more than it is, we would hope its current blocky, pixelated state would evolve to include stunning virtual properties such as this one, a "residence for the metaverse inspired by the coldest season".
WE CAME ACROSS the beautiful kitchen of designer Jasper Conran's vacation home on the island of Rhodes on Instagram and instantly fell for its rustic charm. Nothing looks too perfect, and yet everything looks perfect. There are stacks of old pots and pans on lower shelves and large terracotta platters displayed casually above, a pebble mosaic floor (something we had never seen before), irregular white plaster walls and a thatched ceiling. We, of course, were intrigued to see the rest of the home, which once belonged to Baronessa Beatrice Monti della Corte von Rezzori.

This weekend was one of those cosy homebody types of weekends: a fire, some drinks, and P made Aubergine & Cauliflower Korma, a vegetarian dish with toasted cumin and coriander seeds, ginger, desiccated coconut and flaked almonds.
