THIS WEEKEND we watched Frances Ha written by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, who also directed the film (watch the trailer here). It was a charming and heartwarming look at the pursuit of happiness and following one’s dreams and moving through life with light and lightness.
IT IS A MILLION DEGREES lately, and we’ve been eating watermelon for breakfast and gazpacho for lunch in an attempt to cool down, in addition to the many sunlit dates on terraces, the only civilized way to endure the heat. The city is emptying out as it does every August, and the evenings have already begun to get quiet.
THIS WEEKEND, we stopped by one of our favourite spots for a window seat in the sun, drinks and tuna tartare and patatas bravas — it was splendid to sit and watch the world go by while chatting about life and enjoying such delectable dishes (you simply must try this place if you’re ever in town).
