And this weekend was countryside drives in the golddrenched late-summer sun and dusky old antiques shops; the discovery of a new and utterly charming candlelit wine bar and a chic [secret] one; garden centres and palest pink roses at the supermarket, fireworks and festivities, and late, late nights . . .
