{site news | give-away : always for love & the winner is . . .}

HAD THE MOST LOVELIEST TIME reading through all of the beautiful thoughts on what you would do if you had time, in answer to the question posed for the most recent give-away.  There were wistful thoughts and new resolve, and wishes to spend more time practicing playing music and to write, for DIY and crafting projects and to just be creative in general, for sewing and cooking and painting and French lessons, photography and browsing art galleries and picnics in the park; others hoped for more time to be in the moment and to dream, and many wanted more time to read, to see more of friends and family who live far away; and it would also seem that many do not have the chance to spend enough time with husbands, what with work and children and life; but overwhelming, most wanted more time to travel . . .

And the winner is : Paige Baschuk, who said, “If I had a bit more time on my hands, I would spend it with my 89-year-old grandfather–my last living grandparent and a WWII veteran. I would write down family stories, his experiences growing up in San Francisco in the 1920’s, and his description of my grandmother (whom I’m often told to resemble). As a journalist, it weighs on me that I have not taken the precious time to record these memories before he passes. That would truly be time well-spent and a gift that I could keep giving to my (unborn) children and grandchildren!”

Paige will receive the Tristen Rosegold Plated Crystal Bracelet Watch [$278.00], along with a $250.00 gift certificate at CoachWarmest congratulations, Paige. xo

Unfortunately, there could only be one winner, but there were so many other lovely answers, and so, below, a few favourites . . .

I would love to have time to complete a book project I began with my Nana (who has since passed away), where I photographed each one of her precious belongings, and she wrote a bit of history about each one. I hope to one day (soon!) formalize her words and my images into a beautiful book.

Thank you for the chance to win!

Never enough time to take the world in slowly, travel the globe, truly listen to others, and sip champagne in a beautiful landscape!

I wish I had more time to finally adopt a rescue dog. For the moment, I’ve opened up my home to fostering until the dog(s) find their forever home. One day soon I hope to have one of my own :)

Just to use it then to make my mom’s house just like she would dreamto have it. Time with family.Time for love, joy, happines together and to make our lives more beautiful! Thank you!

If I had more time, I would drive to the midwest and spend more time with my 90-yr-old grandparents. I would go shopping for them, many to cook, clean, and then just spend the evenings in their living room listening…

I wish I could spend more time exploring the world- New York especially. Instead of being the same tedious routine of school, home, homework, sleep- I want to be off exploring the city of New York with my Starbucks latte, burgundy lips, & chic attire! I obviously have big dreams for a 15 year old girl. But that is what I wish I could do, although I am not able to…

If I had more time, I would spend it volunteering, especially around the holidays. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the shopping, entertaining and festivities that I can lose sight of giving back. Cheers!

I absolutely admire your blog and enjoy following your glamorous posts on Instagram. They make my hectic days around the farm a little more lovely. I wish I had more time to relish in the moment and focus on being here now and enjoying all the little precious moments in life. I especially wish I had more quality time to spend with my family and those dear to me. Having not only time to call those I love but to physically enjoy their presence more often. I wish I had more time to write a decent comment on here, instead if having to rush to class in between jobs. Xo

If I had the time, I would spend it writing notes to mail to my loved ones: family and friends, who are dispersed around the world– to send them a little postage note to let them know I still think of them and wish them well, and to plan a rendez vous in the future.. too often we rely on social media to keep correspondence and that’s just not good enough!

I wish I had more time to spend with my daughter; that she’d stay younger, longer and continue to believe I can fix any problem and heal every heartache. I wish I had more time with my husband. Now. When we are young enough to live without restraints and yet old enough to understand just how valuable we are to one another and just how precious “now” is…

This may sound very specific, but if I had the time I would love to learn how to bake the perfect souffle and then eat it while reading big fat autobiographies of women who I look up to.

At first, I thought “more time to read”. Then I realized that more than that, I’d love more time with my little girl without all the distractions of other responsibilities. She’s two, and loves to “help”, but I all too often forget to stop the busyness and just be with her.
