And for the final gift guide of the week, a collection of beautiful and whimsical things for les enfants . . .
The Shopkeepers’ Daughter I Heart You Sock Monkey // Leuie Nina Heart Earrings // This is Paris Hardcover by Miroslav Sasek // This is Edinburgh Hardcover by Miroslav Sasek // Gap Favorite Cashmere Blanket [& Cashmere Hoodie] // Juicy Couture Gold Glittered Sneaker // Diane Bergeron Vintage Pink Faux Bamboo Dresser
About The Shopkeepers’ Daughter — Every Sock Monkey is made entirely by hand by my friend, Jessica, who sews by hand and with a vintage Piedmont sewing machine. Each monkey can also be customised with a personalised message, or initials [mine has a monogrammed “R”], and are the cutest things ever. There are other animals as well [the dog is adorable], and any one of these would make an utterly charming gift . . .
Top : Wooden cot from the Metamorphic range by Simon Horn, painted in white. Made from cherry wood, it can be painted or varnished and is shown decorated with a coronet and 14 metres of silk by James Hare. The pattern panel behind is ‘Tsarina’ by Zoffany and uses 3.5 metres of fabric. The cot converts to a small single bed, and, with the back section removed, turns into a small sofa.
