In the heart of southwestern France, between Lacanau and the famous Bassin d’Arcachon, lies the commune of Le Temple in the Gironde department. Here, nestled amidst forest and olive groves, stands Casa Cazorla, a luxurious countryside villa that offers a perfect blend of nature and elegance. The vacation home of Anne-Laure Mais, a content creator and founder of the brand Musier, and Édouard Moreau, a manager of a civil engineering company, Casa Cazorla is a 6-bedroom home available for holidays, photo shoots, and events.
After an extensive 18-month renovation encompassing both the main building and surrounding grounds, Casa Cazorla emerged as a beautiful retreat ready to welcome guests. Spanning 180 m² over two floors, this luxurious villa comfortably accommodates up to 12 people. The owners, Anne-Laure and Édouard, opted for an eclectic décor that tells a story. They carefully curated an array of vintage pieces, sourcing furniture mainly from Selency and Le Bon Coin. The collection spans various eras, featuring works by Oscar Piccolo, Audoux-Minet, and Steen Ostergaard. Bespoke items add a personal touch, including a bench by Talka Decor and rope lamps crafted by a Portuguese artisan. A French stone fireplace, discovered in Pau and painstakingly reconstructed, serves as a centrepiece.
The main house contains five uniquely themed bedrooms ⎼ the green room, the beige room, the blue room, and so on ⎼ while a sixth, more secluded room occupies the garden outbuilding. Anne-Laure’s favourite is the master suite, distinguished by its lime-plastered walls and delicate paper pendant lights. At the heart of the home, the kitchen opens onto a sprawling 7,000 m² garden, complete with an in-ground heated pool. The grounds are a Mediterranean-inspired oasis, flourishing with apple and cherry trees, alongside twenty transplanted olive trees.
Casa Cazorla’s prime location offers easy access to the renowned vineyards and châteaux of the Médoc, the vibrant city of Bordeaux, the scenic Arcachon Bay, and the Atlantic coast, making it an ideal base for exploring the diverse attractions of southwestern France.
