THE CLOCKS went ahead last night, the sun is pouring in through the windows, it finally feels like spring and it’s wonderful. Last week, at our Substack, there was a newsy life update, which you can read here. There was also a soft launch for subscribers of the new organic skincare line from New Zealand that I had been hinting about in past weekend links. This collaboration has been nearly six years in the making and we can’t wait for you to try these beautiful wildcrafted products. P was telling me about an article he was reading about a woman who was on Ozempic—not only did she lose the weight, but she also lost interest in food altogether. I was actually just thinking about that pizza place we went to last month, I tell him, and how we need to go back, order the wine and the four cheese one this time. He laughed. I wondered what it would be like to not think about food. It would be so strange. Would being thinner be a good tradeoff? In middle of The Beautiful and the Damned, I started re-reading Little Women and have been jumping back and forth between both books to great confusion. It’s a nice break from screens though. Hope you’re having a wonderful long holiday weekend.
This week’s links include the Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall and raffia slides for spring days; 7 useful apps every traveler should know about, modern British food, and much, much more.
