THERE is a word in Greek—meraki, (pronounced may-rah-key) that translates to “essence of yourself.” There is no English equivalent, but it means doing something with soul, creativity, or love; to put something of yourself into your work. This word encapsulates how I’ve been feeling lately with all of the different projects going on, and all of the time and effort that has been going into them, especially the Substack. There have been some exciting parcel deliveries filled with all of the new things that will be added to The Shop, including some wildcrafted products from New Zealand that we can’t wait to share with you. There are also some new wicker and rattan items from our atelier in Spain, as well as some new notebooks and cardholders. This weekend P and I began the series One Day—have you seen it? We kept comparing it to the 2011 film, and P to the book. We only have two espisodes left, but so far, it’s been tragic and can’t end well.
This week’s links include a restored Gustavian townhouse in Kensington, and a lace-trim crepe de Chine slip dress for March days; a recipe for Tiramisu Overnight Oats, beauty essentials, and much, much more.
