AS PROMISED, the follow-up to Part One, this second instalment is a photo diary of our life lately, turning leaves in Hyde Park, beautiful Mayfair in the rain, the Viewing Poing in Richmond Hill, a festive cheese shop in Bloomsbury, an insanely delicious “luxury donut”, Fortnum & Mason’s h0liday windows, fallen, the Tate, dim sum in Charing Cross, the Ritz at night, and so much more…
Mayfair in the rain.
On Friday morning we drove up to Richmond Hill to see if we could catch the last of the turning leaves at the Viewing Point overlooking the Thames and also stopped by the bakery there that everyone loves, next to the wine shop on the corner. We ordered two flat whites to go and a millionaire’s slice (so good). The last time we were there was in the summertime, and we had taken our bikes through Richmond Park and had a brie and baguette picnic on a vintage plaid wool blanket with glasses of cava.
La Fromagerie, a cheese shop in Bloomsbury, all ready for the holidays.
Beautiful architectural details and the most incredible Vanilla Pecan Donut with vanilla cream, pecan praline, white chocolate chantilly and caramelised pecans.
Fortum and Mason’s very famous holiday decorations, beautiful even in the rain.
Fallen leaves and delicious dim sum in King’s Cross.
Early morning at the Tate to see the experimental Turners before it undoubtedly became overrun with tourists.
A boutique bakery specialising in handmade donuts and pastries on Charing Cross Road.
The charming Burlington Arcade, located in central London, on Piccadilly, across the street is Fortnum & Mason, one of London’s most famous department stores.
A lovely little Christmas tree in Bloomsbury and the cheese shop at Harrods.
The Ritz at night.
