WE HAVE BEEN watching the tennis. Normally don’t join in until the end of the second week, but we wanted to see the Andy Murray/Tsitsipas match, which began on Thursday night, and continued the next day. Since we were in town on Friday, we had to keep checking in on our phones to see how things were going, in between pub visits in Belgravia and drinks on hot terraces of quaint new-to-us pubs. (Don’t worry, we’ll keeping a tally of them for you and will publish them here soon, as well as on our Instagram side project.) It was a really lovely day despite the heat, and we inadvertently caught the strains of a Billy Joel concert that we hadn’t known was happening in Hyde Park. We stayed in the park to watch the sun set over The Serpentine, while ducks and black swans drifted lazily by. Saturday night we had 8:30 pm dinner reservations at a place we’d been meaning to try and it was such a nice time! The food was delicious it was the first time in ages that we had such a long, slow dinner, talking and soaking up the summer night.
This week’s links include the world’s 50 best restaurants and an apartment in Poland; a look at what the average human does in a day; shirt dresses for summer days, and much, much more.
