ON SATURDAY we embarked on an epic bicycle ride way past Wimbledon for a panini from a food truck run by an Italian couple. It was the latest episode in P’s food frenzy since we’ve been here, and he has many more places that he’s been dying to try. The sandwich ended up being worth the very long journey, the Italians were lovely, and the neighbourhood was wonderful to visit⏤lots of pubs, restaurants and independent shops, including a very fancy French patisserie complete with an enormous crystal chandelier. (If you follow along on Instagram, you might have caught a glimpse in our Stories.) Sunday, we found a secret park and took our camp chairs to spend a few hours working outside in the early June sun. The weather has been stunning⏤so much so, that I may need to swap out my entire wardrobe for breezy summer dresses and tennis skirts. We’ve been eating our weight in canelés, and also discovered a few quaint pubs and a village nearby that’s so charming, it might be the friendliest place on earth.
This week’s links include a 10-day road trip through Portugual, and a summer house in Sweden; tie-belt satin dresses and oversized linen blazers for summer days, and much, much more.
