CHANCES ARE, you’re already familiar with the work of Canadian interior designer Ashley Montgomery, for her designs have been all over Instagram lately. And it’s no wonder—the effortless mix of deep wood tones and marble, ceiling beams and brass is both elegant and liveable at once.
Montgomery launched her studio with her husband and business partner, Erik, in 2014. Today, it is a full-service interior design firm specialising in residential and boutique commercial projects with offices in Toronto and Barrie. By her own description, Ashley’s spaces have an old world feel in an entirely reimagined way, with a careful focus on the textural, tonal, and timeworn. What’s really unique about them, we think, is that despite the grandeur of some of theses spaces, there is something about them that makes them feel like home.
