ON MONDAY WE went into the city for the first time in a long time, stopped for oat milk flat whites at our favourite coffee shop (so nice!), browsed flower stands and shopped for champagne truffles. We had take-away sushi for lunch and ended up on a sun-drenched terrace overlooking the river where we sipped drinks in the spring air. It was an extra day added to our weekend, meaning a rare Monday off work―all very luxurious (and much-needed) indeed. Now and it’s Tuesday night and we’ve been listening to the Chauvin verdict streaming live from Minneapolis.
This week’s links include a cabin in the Oakland Hills, wool blazers for spring mornings and knitwear moments in film history; how Seville is turning leftover oranges into electricity; gardenia-scented candles and much, much more.
