AT THIS MOMENT, Mark, our internet service provider engineer, is upstairs installing our new service, replacing Alexa and a year and a half of a very slow and spotty connection once and for all, we hope. We are meeting this new year head-on and have decided to be a little more proactive with things, and so far it seems to be working. This week’s links are late, late because have been wrapped in mundane administrative tasks that have piled up until they were no longer avoidable. I have also been distracted by the endless search for a new coffee table, sofa and rug for the living room, with too many options from too many places to narrow down. January felt long and dreary, but it’s over now, and we’ve made it. February can only get better, and here, in the English countryside, not only have the days been getting a little longer with each passing moment, but the birds seem to extra fluttery and chatty and there are snowdrops everywhere. It feels like spring could happen at any moment now and we can’t wait.
This week’s links include a waterside cabin in Denmark and Matt Damon’s Los Angeles home; quilted wrap puffer jackets for winter days, patent leather loafers, and much, much more.
