WE’VE COVERED the work of Leanne Ford before here at TIG, but this project, with its fieldstone fireplace and log cabin vibe, has drawn our attention to the American interior designer once again. Set in Rustic Canyon, a residential neighbourhood and canyon in eastern Pacific Palisades on the west side of Los Angeles, California and along Rustic Creek in the Santa Monica Mountains, it was the Fords’ own home until they decided to sell in April of this year, at the beginning of lockdown due to the pandemic. Aside the from the cosy, cosy living mentioned earlier, a few of the other features we love are the way the ceiling beams were lightened in the master bedroom by the concrete stucco that was used to re-coat the walls, and how the master bath was refinished simply by a concrete skim coat that was added right on top of the old tiles both elements of the “white on white” signature aesthetic that Ford is known for. Scroll through for a glimpse of this wonderfully eclectic home that’s full of character …
