THERE ARE ONLY two days left until the General Election and for the past two weeks, flyers have been dropped through our mail slot and canvassers have been ringing the door bell. It’s a more anxious time leading up to the holidays than usual, (especially since we spent Christmas in Spain last year) but hopefully we’ll be able move on to happier things soon and really begin getting into the festive spirit. All over the countryside, all the quaint and cosy stone houses have cheerful wreaths on their doors and after the day fades, there are twinkling fairy lights and brightly decorated Christmas trees peeking out of warmly glowing windows. It’s one of my favourite things, catching glimpses into the living rooms as we walk past. We’ve been feeling a bit pensive in these last few days, remembering that we’re not just heading into a new year, but a brand new decade…
This week’s links include a very chic Manhattan apartment and oversized cashmere jumpers for winter days; new denim trends for the new year, the top ten large-scale artworks of 2019, and much, much more.
