Our Lifestyle Editor sent along a photo this weekend of the cosiest living room with a crystal chandelier hanging above a roaring fire that was published on Livingetc in late March of this year. The room felt immediately familiar, and was, as it turns out, from the 1890s brownstone home of Alison Cayne in Greenwich Village, New York, featured here at TIG in June 2014.
It appears that Cayne, the founder of Haven’s Kitchen (a recreational cooking school, café and event space on West 17th street) still lives there, and with the exception of a few glimpses into children’s rooms (she is the mother of five!) and the appearance of a new family pet, many things in the home remain very much the same. Most of the images featured here are from the March 2019 feature on Livingetc, but for interest, we’ve added a few from our 2014 feature, as well as some new images we’ve discovered from 2015. Scroll through for a glimpse of this lovely Interiors Redux…
