Holiday 2019 | At Home With: Interior Designer Jane Schwab, Charlotte, North Carolina
IT’S MID-DECEMBER and the holidays are in full-swing and everyone in the village seems to already be on Christmas vacation. Here at TIG, we’re still working, but are looking forward to taking some (much-needed!) time off at the end of the week. So far this month, we’ve brought you Christmastime in London, six Holiday Gift Guides, beautiful holiday décor inspiration, as well as a year-end Playlist. We’re rounding out the week with the lovely Colonial-style cottage of interior designer Jane Schwab. Designed and built in 1923 by architect Martin Evans Boyer and renovated in 1999 by the firm of McAlpine Tankersley, the Charlotte, North Carolina home that Jane shares with her husband, Nelson, is pure laidback elegance and charm. Gingham sits comfortably next to silk, beautiful crystal chandeliers and antiques mix with beadboard and slipcovered chairs, and in this special tour, Schwab has adorned the place with organically arranged garlands and holiday greenery.
