IT’S WINTERTIME AND even though we’ve moved to a (much) warmer climate, all I (still) want to do is stay cosy inside and eat crazy amounts of rustic bread and pasta in front of a roaring fire. This weekend we stopped by a new coffee shop across town, one of those hippy startups where no drink was made with milk, only oat, coconut, soy, etc. and an exotic-sounding one called canary seed. I ordered a coconut milk flat white, while P was recommended the canary seed, which neither of us had ever tried before. (I liked it, P not so much). There seems to be a strange lull or hush about the city, almost as if everyone were already in hibernation. It’s quite a different feeling than in other cities we’ve lived in, where the streets and shops were constantly overcrowded in the weeks leading up to Christmas. The year is coming to an end and we’re feeling a little pensive and melancholic, but only for a moment, for a new year is always an exciting time filled with endless possibilities…
This week’s links include a Travel Guide for Glasgow, pearls & gold and a visit to the Soho Farmhouse; beauty products for travel, velvet suede mules for holiday soirées, and much, much more.
