THIS WEEKEND had moments of bliss: there was the tennis, insanely beautiful weather, glasses of wine at old favourite places, and most of all, time to spend together; these moments, however, were punctuated by pure dreadfulness. At some point last week, must have somehow caught what had thought was an innocuous (albeit poorly timed) summer cold, but in actuality turned out to be a most unpleasant chest infection. The rest of the weekend became one of dramatic coughing fits, lack of sleep and a severe lack of energy, hot lemon & honey and plenty of rest. In fact, being at the office on Monday was nearly an act of heroism given the circumstances, and things are only marginally better today. According to the internet, this thing could possibly last 3 weeks! and since I do not have that kind of time, hopefully taking extra time today (one of the many perks of being your own boss) to rest will speed up the recovery process a little. On the bright side, it has been (and continues to be) gorgeous and sunny and perfectly summery, it’s raspberry season and I’m being extremely well looked after.
This week’s links include afternoon tea in London, linen summer dresses and wicker bags, the best natural sunscreens and much more.
