My mind has been lingering on the corridors and bibliothèque and salles de bains for a while now, and only just recently, it has been declared the best hotel in the world in 2017 by Conde Nast Traveler readers. Its decoration is often described as ‘impeccably elegant’ and it is Jacques Garcia’s most sumptuous creation. Oui, it is La Réserve!
La Réserve Hotel & Spa in Paris is one of the few hotels that embodies the French standards of excellence. Originally the home of Napoléon III’s half-brother, the Duc de Morny, today it belongs to Michel Reybier.
Located between Avenue Montaigne and Rue du Faubourg St-Honoré, central yet intimate, La Réserve offers everything you’d expect: a full-service spa, a 50-foot pool, a bucolic outdoor patio, and two restaurants: the Asian-inspired La Pagode de Cos and the formal Restaurant le Gabriel.
While my mind wanders through gilded boiseries to antique mirrors and silk damask, I’ll let you enjoy the beautiful photos of its interiors…
