DISCOVERED THE HOME of Interior Designer Amelia Widell back in March of this year, but had been waiting to feature it until we revisited our Edinburgh townhouse, for both her and I are kindred spirits in that we both keep our shoes in (actually quite similar) antique china cabinets (slide No. 04). However, that article is proving more difficult than anticipated, so we’re going ahead now with Amelia’s beautiful Stockholm home that she shares with daughter Luca. The beautiful pink sofa that steals the scene in the designer’s living room is of her own design, and available at her design firm, Meli Meli. Of her space, Widell says, “Jag gillar hem som är väldigt internationella och samtidigt obestämbara. Sådana som inte tydligt kan definieras som Paris eller New York” / “I like homes that are very international and at the same time indeterminable. Such as can not be clearly defined as Paris or New York” (loose translation). At the time of our discovery of Widell’s ultra chic home, the designer had just joined Elle Decoration as their newest blogger; you can read her posts there, here.
