Earlier last week was the Cannes Film Festival, the South of France’s annual celebration of art, glitz and glamour, and an occasion that brings about a flock of international glossy-haired starlets to promote films and documentaries across the globe.
One blonde-haired 26-year-old celebrity, however, was crowned the “couture queen of Cannes” by Vogue Magazine without a movie to her name. Visiting the French Rivera as a L’Oréal Paris’s beauty ambassador and accompanying her film star husband, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively won over fashion critics with a stunning eclectic collection of designer gowns that complimented her glowing completion and trademark beachy waves to perfection.
Channelling effortless glamour with chic hair and make up by L’Oréal and a host of designers including Giambattista Valli, Chanel and Gucci, Blake stole the red carpet the only way her 2007 Gossip Girl character, “Serena van der Woodsen” could do best. —Anita
