. . . said to be a fairytale told in dresses — alice in wonderland, the little red riding hood, and snow white — the valentino autumn-winter ready-to-wear collection was an extravagantly lovely mix of little black dresses embellished with sequins and lace, crisp white coats nearly shaped as capes, and long elegant and fluttery dresses made of belgian lace, with delft patterns and scallops and textures that could very easily leave the realm of fairytales and wander straight into everyday life . . .
