. . . and this weekend was long, long walks together about the city streets, a trench and skinny jeans and strappy sandals; and languid browsings in pretty shops after sundrenched window seats at quaint cafés; a glass of prosecco while daydreaming [and a pint for p], and dinner at a restaurant had never been; and in the evening, there was time for thought and reflection, and the feverish excitement of long-awaited plans . . .
