. . . do you remember the series, {a charming mix of things}? has been years since the first, but with all of these beautiful things [always] drifting and floating prettily around in thoughts, perhaps it’s time to bring it back . . .
. . . and it has been an introspective time, for certain, a time of change and thinking and planning, and for dreaming, of course, and nothing and everything, at once, inspires -- spring blossoms and words, the chic-ness of leopard print and the importance of butterflies; ornate ceilings and waking to fiery may sunrises, and if thoughts at this moment were to fall, they would look something like this . . .
It's wonderfully sunny today, as it was yesterday, so much so, that we took some time out to wander the hills in the last of the daylight, to climb the peaks and gaze out over the sea . . .
AND WHILE FALL will always fall second place to summer here, there is no denying its astonishing loveliness and romance — there are still the last of the roses in blossom, the leaves have begun to turn and billow off the branches, falling, falling...
. . . and the inspiration folders have been overflowing lately, first for styling inspiration for all of last week’s...

GILDED CROWN MOULDING, crystal chandeliers, gold-embroidered lace evening gowns and butterflies around the world — just a few things in thoughts and daydreams on this late-January Friday . . .
. . . good morning! monday, monday and summer weekends always seem to slip away a little more quickly than others and it's a new and beautiful week and couldn't think of a more lovely way to begin than with another charming mix of things . . .
AND THERE ARE GOLD tinsel garlands strewn all about the place, gold cocktail shakers and gilded drinking glasses, all the Christmas cards have been written, but have yet to be posted, and a lull hangs in the air...
“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” —Norman Vincent Peale
A tumble of beautiful things in shades of pink & leopard print — a medicine cabinet filled with lovely things, hand-lettering and silk curtains and bouquets upon bouquets of peonies...
. . . and if you have been reading for some time, you may remember a beautiful series called, {a charming mix of things}, the first of which was published an astonishing three years ago, already, and while there has been less time, lately . . .
THE LEAVES HAVE ALL turned golden and billowed off the trees, falling, falling and there is an undeniable crispness in the morning air, and not evening goes by without thought of a fire or candles lit, and there’s just something a little romantic and cosy about the days now.
