TIME AGAIN for another Life Lately, and these past few days and weeks have felt rather busy, especially following the enforced hibernation of the lockdown years, which are beginning to feel like a million lifetimes ago now. There was an early morning train ride to Edinburgh at the beginning of the month and another to Glasgow the following day; and then all the way to the south, nearly as far as Wales just last week...

One of the most-asked questions is about my beauty and makeup routine. My skincare regimen changes with the seasons, with less makeup and rich moisturisers in the summertime, and the opposite in the winter. It's especially important to care for your skin in the wintertime because the cold, dry air can strip your skin of its natural oils, leaving it dry, itchy, and more susceptible to cracking and irritation.
We have always wanted to add a tote to our line but wanted to ensure that we had a product that was as practical and durable as it was stylish. When Roséline and I began working on our design, we focused on the size and construction.
IT HAS BEEN rumoured that virtual properties in the metaverse are going for over $120,000. As insane as it might sound to purchase property that you can't actually inhabit, and as resistant as we are to an indoor make-belief life without sun, if it ever becomes more than it is, we would hope its current blocky, pixelated state would evolve to include stunning virtual properties such as this one, a "residence for the metaverse inspired by the coldest season".
A SCHOOL FRIEND once remarked that I was good at seasons, and when I thought about it, I realised that she was right. I actually really do love to capture the feeling and moods of the changing seasons, the excitement that comes with arrival of the first snowdrops in winter, just as the days start to get longer, the way the sun's rays deepen in colour at sunset. And at the other end of the spectrum, when summer fades into autumn, we realise with the changing leaves and cosy evenings with their flickering firelight, that endings can be beautiful too. We learn, every autumn what it is to let go...
IT BEGAN WITH the image above, a Parisienne dressed in a belted trench with white ankle socks and loafers, things grew from there and before we knew it, we had another folder filled with autumn/winter style inspiration, from cosy shearling and pile to belted puffer coats, baseball caps with blazers and trench coats and extra long woollen scarves, jumpers worn as scarves, clogs and capes, ultra-light cashmere sweaters and more ...
Winter is challenging, both psychologically and physically. There are endless days of rain and freezing cold. I personally feel a lack of sun and light, and fresh air, since we are followed everywhere these days by the mask rule ...
I AM NOT sure why―when it happens every year―I am so unprepared for winter. The cold. The dampness. The continual overcast skies. And most of all, the darkness. Yes, the days have been, happily, incrimentally longer every day since winter solstice, but tonight, the sun still set 4:17pm. 4:17pm! On Sundays, everything moves a little more slowly ...
EVERY YEAR, around this time, it's a TIG tradition to share holiday inspiration. While this year is definitely not like other years, we still have to make the best of it. And so, this year, we share with you pretty festive wreaths on windows and doors, Christmas trees along sidewalk cafés in Paris and sweeping garlands down balustrades in the Upper East Side; evergreens draped in fairy lights, snow in the Cotswolds and more...
RECENTLY ORDERED A new chunky cable knit sweater and it's the warmest, cosiest thing. In fact, if it were not for cosy jumpers and crackling cottage fires, autumn would be nearly unbearable with its damp, cloudy days, bare branches after all the leaves have fallen, and inevitable end in winter ...
Little did I know about the versatility of a long puffer jacket but I can declare this is a true winter staple. I always thought it a cosy piece, but had a hard time styling it in a street-style context.
Have been working on my wardrobe for a while know, re-editing my closet and the pieces I am buying and it’s still a work in progress to create the ideal capsule wardrobe ...
IN DECEMBER we wrote about the Fluffy White Coat Mini Trend, and now we're bringing you a parallel trend this winter season: the Teddy Bear Coat. Oversized and cosy, it's not only a favourite of fashionistas and influencers everywhere, but also of celebrities like Katie Holmes and models Elsa Hosk and Rosie Huntington Whiteley ...
DEEP, MOODY BLUES always seem to go well with winter days, especially after the holidays are over and things begin to settle back into normal routines again. The winter blues can sometimes get you down, but not when they're used for perfect table setting inspiration ...
IT'S OFFICIALLY WINTER and after the solstice, the days are happily beginning to get longer again. Of course, that doesn't mean there won't be dark mornings and chilly nights for the next few months, and after the holidays are over...
