Notes from the Weekend

& a Few Lovely Links

- inspirational links from around the interwebs, what we were up to this weekend

WAS READING an article about 7 great but notoriously hard-to-finish books and realised that I’d started most of them, but actually did finish one them⏤Thomas Piketty’s 2013 masterpiece, Capital in the Twenty-First Century⏤all 600 pages of it, and enjoyed it so much that I’d considered picking up his follow-up while at Waterstones recently. Last week we introduced new candles at The Shop and we had no idea that they would be so wildly popular so soon after launch. Today, two new scents have arrived, just in time for upcoming November festivities: Cranberry and Chestnut. And in a few weeks, we’ll be launching our new gift boxes, filled with a selection of wonderfully chic things sourced from all over Europe, just in time for the holiday season. Somehow, this year, I don’t mind receiving promotional information and emails about Christmas so early⏤it’s actually nice to have so many things to look forward to.

This week’s links include the 15 most beautiful national parks in the UK and Merino wool roll-neck sweaters for cool autumn nights; camel coats, scent candles, wool suit blazers, and much, much more.
