Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links

Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links 21.02.22

JANUARY LASTED a million days but February seems to be flying by. There is sunshine and birdsong, snowdrops, and today we saw a tree blooming with delicate white blossoms. It just as quickly clouded over and there were rainy spells here and there (it is England, after all), but overall, it’s been feeling rather springlike. Of course, there are terrible floods again in the south, but hopefully all these weekend storms will pass by soon and we can look forward to warmer days. I’ve been reading a book about essentialism and the principle of less but better; paring down everything to the bare essentials in order to achieve the highest level of contribution in all areas of life. Being discerning to find the things that are vital and leave behind the things that are trivial. Learning to better trade-offs. There are a lot of good ideas to absorb and I’ve only just begun, but so far, I am already thinking in a completely different way.

This week’s links include a forgotten Spanish village and a Frank Lloyd Wright house for rent in Wisconsin; delicate blouses with mid-rise jeans, belted trenches for warmer days, and much, much more.
