THE THING ABOUT MOVING in to a new place is that if you get it just right, it far too cosy to leave. This weekend, we ordered in a perfectly spicy curry from the best Indian restaurant in the area and stayed in, enveloped in the cosy-ness of the cottage. We live-streamed our favourite Glastonbury acts for background ambiance (The Killers, The Cure) with a glass of red wine in front of the fireplace. It was romantic and perfect and so cosy. We also spent much of the days outside on all the beautiful trails along the river, and on secluded back terraces of quaint English pubs and in the corners of art gallery cafés sipping flat whites with a slice of ginger cake. Every once in a while, one needs to reset, and this move feels like that and it also feels a lot like happiness.
