Interior Design: North Fork Seaside House, Long Island

Prev1 of 19

A LOVE OF LIGHT and bright French-inspired interiors is being challenged by this dark and cosy four bedroom, three bathroom house on the North Fork of Long Island. Amazingly, the home was only ten years old, but given lived-in character and texture by design-build interior design firm, Jersey Ice Cream Company, founded in 2010 by Tara Mangini and Percy Bright: “Usually we take a lot of clues and hints from the existing space and original details; the challenge here was to create a sense of history and story in a house that hasn’t been around that long.” The wood beams, glassed-in breakfast atrium and pink sofa add a sense of lightness and romance, not to mention the sea perfect views . . .
